Exploring Spain & Portugal: Unearthing Future Partnerships

July marked an exciting chapter for the Vitafresh team as Dan and Harvey embarked on an exciting trip to the sun-soaked Almeria and El Ejido regions in southern Spain. Their mission? To cultivate relationships, lay down robust foundations, and handpick the finest ingredients for our upcoming winter salad selection.

Anticipation builds as we prepare to unveil a tantalising winter salad assortment featuring an array of mouthwatering vegetables. Including but not limited to:

🇪🇸 Peppers
🇪🇸 Courgettes
🇪🇸 Cucumbers
🇪🇸 Chillies
🇪🇸 Aubergines
🇪🇸 Tomatoes

Their journey was not only rewarding but made welcoming by the graciousness of our esteemed suppliers. A special shout-out to Mabe, Casi, Godoy, ZOI, and Escobi for hosting our team and making their Spanish experience truly unforgettable.

Following their Spanish trip, Dan and Harvey's voyage led them to the Portugal. The purpose of this journey was to nurture connections with our butternut squash growers. This particular harvest has recently become available, offering a fresh local supply after the Southern Hemisphere's season concluded.

The visit to Portugal wasn't just about butternut squash. Our explorations introduced us to two new growers with a diverse expertise spanning strawberries, raspberries, stone fruit, chillies, sweet potatoes, and green peppers. This exciting revelation opens new avenues for us, expanding our product range.

Join us in eagerly anticipating the produce that await as Vitafresh Produce continues to bring the essence of Spain and Portugal to the UK!
