Sip Sustainably

The story of the sedge straw

Grey sedge grass grows in the wetlands of Southern Vietnam. Harvested approximately every 12 months these sedge straws support the livelihoods of the local farmers, workers and their families.

10% of each sedge field is left unharvested and the strongest ones are spread out and replanted. This regenerative farming method helps protect the ecosystem, and provides secure work.

The Benefits

Sedge Straws Don’t Go Soggy!

In fact they actually get stronger and more durable in liquid. The perfect straw for the drinks sector. A long lasting, eco friendly solution to plastic pollution.

Less Waste

Unlike straws made from PLA (polylactic acid), which don't fully biodegrade in natural conditions, Grey Sedge can! It is nature, so if you happen to drop one on the floor, it can’t become waste!

Multi-purpose

When you’re done with your sedge straws, you can turn them into compost, fertiliser, decorations and more!
