Dan's Harvest Trail: North Carolina to Mexico
Dan, our MD and explorer, kicked off the adventure with a visit to North Carolina, where the harvest season for our delectable sweet potatoes had just begun.
Continuing his journey, Dan jetted off to Mexico, a land of rich agricultural diversity. There, he had the pleasure of meeting our valued partner suppliers who are the backbone of our operation. From peas and beans to broccoli, butternut squash, and asparagus, Dan witnessed the dedication and passion that goes into cultivating an array of delicious produce.
Expoalimentaria Peru & Fruit Attraction in Madrid
Dani and Dan, then set their sights on Expoalimentaria Peru, where they met up with connections and suppliers and immersed themselves in the vibrant and diverse culinary landscape of the region. From there, it was a quick zip to Fruit Attraction, another networking event in Madrid, where they were joined by Harvey.
Harvey's Fig Adventure in Turkey
Harvey then ventured off on his own to Turkey, exploring the fascinating world of figs. From the sun-kissed fig orchards to the bustling packing facility, he dove deep into the heart of our fig-growing community. But Harvey's adventure didn't stop there. He also adventured into iceberg lettuce fields, plucking the juiciest tomatoes straight from the vine and savouring the sweetness of fresh pears and pomegranates that Turkey is renowned for. Harvey had the pleasure of learning from local farmers, gaining insights into their time-honoured techniques, and building connections with the incredible growers who are at the core of what makes Vitafresh possible.
